Czarcrest's Can U Keep A Secret? ("Keeper") went Winners Bitch on November 21, 2010 at the Chenango Valley Kennel Club in Syracuse, New York under Judge Charlotte Clem McGowan. Keeper is co-owned by Carol Walker and Michele Czarnecki and bred by Caitlyn Hawryszkow and Michele Czarnecki. Keeper is handled by Courtney Kniola and Tony Vacha.

Czarcrest's Can You Keep a Secret? ("Keeper") won Best of Breed at the Grand Rapids Kennel Club Show under Judge Richard William Powell. Keeper is owned by Carol Walker and Michele Czarnecki and is bred by Caitlyn Hawryszkow and Michele Czarnecki. Keeper is handled by Courtney Kniola and Tony Vacha.

CH Czarcrest's Mi'Wee Griffin RN CGC ("Griffin") congratulates his newest Champion son - CH Moonlite Dazzling Star of Czarcrest ("Darby") owned by MaryAnn Marchand. Darby is the 10th offspring of Griffin's to become a Champion qualifying Griffin for the distinction of "Registration of Merit" ROM from the West Highland White Terrier Club of America indicating that he is a top producer. Griffin is owned and loved by Michele Czarnecki.

Czarcrest's Double Play ("Tag") passed both days, November 13 and 14, at the Earthdog Test held by the Border Terrier Club of the Redwoods in Woodland, California, under judges Ann Wendland on Saturday and Pia Paulsen on Sunday. Tag just turned 1 year old and is now a Junior Earthdog! Congratulations to owner/trainer Judy Baird.

Czarcrest's True Blue ("Trudy") finished as a Bred by Exhibitor Champion at the Stone City Kennel Club on October 10, 2010 under Judge Edna Martin.

Trudy is Czarcrest's 46th Champion and is bred by Michele Czarnecki and Susan Chapman. Trudy's sire is BISS CH Czarcrest's Blue Moon TD, RE, NA, OAJ, NAP, OJP, ME, WHWTCA Registry of Merit and Master of Versatility 2 and dam is Czarcrest's Hero's Hope RN, OAJ, ME.

Our second Versatile Dog Czarcrest's Hero's Hope RN OAJ ME ("Hope") is seen here with her owner and trainer Susan Chapman. Hope qualified for this award in August, 2010. In addition to her Versatile Dog accomplishment, Hope recently earned her Master Earthdog Title at the Earthdog test in Roscoe, Illinois on Labor Day Weekend. Congratulations to Susan and Hope.

Hope is a daughter of BISS CH Jared of Czarcrest and is bred by Cookie Pajak. Hope's owners are Susan Chapman and Michele Czarnecki.

CH Czarcrest's Bonnie Wee Blue Angel RN, JE ("Kimmie/Bean") is bred by Karen and Brian Flahive and Michele Czarnecki and is owned by Susan Chapman. Kimmie was expertly handled by Courtney Kniola. Thank you Courtney!

Kimmie's sire is BISS CH Czarcrest's Blue Moon TD, RE, NA, OAJ, NAP, OJP, ME, WHWTCA Registry of Merit and Master of Versatility 2 and dam is Czarcrest's Hero's Hope RN, OAJ, SE.

The West Highland White Terrier Club of Northern Ohio held it's Specialty Show in Canfield, Ohio on August 8, 2010. That day, Czarcrest's True Blue ("Trudy") was awarded Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex over Specials with an entry of 26 bitches. A big "Thank You" to Judge Rosalind Kraus Kramer for the special distinction.

Trudy's breeders Michele Czarnecki and Susan Chapman had an exciting day. Trudy's proud parents are BISS CH Czarcrest's Blue Moon TD, RE, NA, OAJ, NAP, OJP, ME, WHWTCA Registry of Merit and Master of Versatility 2 and Czarcrest's Hero's Hope RN, OAJ, SE.

CH Czarcrest's Blue Chip and CH Lochinmar's Moonlight Sonata are proud of their baby girl Moonlight Isabelle's Grace at Czarcrest ("Izzy") born on May 26, 2010. Izzy is seen here with her breeder MaryAnn Marchand (Moonlight) an Michele Czarnecki (Czarcrest). Izzy is owned by Kelly Bruns and MaryAnn Marchand.

CH Czarcrest's MiWee Griffin ("Griffin") completed his Rally Novice title at 11 years of age at the Waukesha Kennel Club under judge Cynthia Simonsen. Thank you to Bob Bassett for Griffin's initial obedience training and special thanks to Susan Chapman for handling Griffin to his title. Griffin is owned and bred by Michele Czarnecki. Griffin also previously received his Canine Good Citizen Award on June 19, 2010 held in conjunction with the West Highland White Terrier Club of Northern Illinois Specialty Show. Special thanks to Carol Walker for putting Griffin through the paces.

U-CD CH Czarcrest's Cure for the Blues CD RN ("Curtis") earned this third leg in Novice Standard Preferred for his NAP title on July 24, 2010 at the Dog Training Club of Champaign-Urbana. This title qualifies Curtis for his Versatile Dog Award from the West Highland White Terrier Club of America. Congratulations to Carol Walker on this achievement.

Junior Handler, Amanda Hoppie and Czarcrest's Life of the Party ("Sparty") earned their Rally Novice title at the Texas Kennel Club on July 8, 2010.

Czarcrest's True Blue ("Trudy") earned Best of Winners at the Michiana Kennel Club Show in Valparaiso, Indiana on June 26, 2010 under judge Dr. Jerry Klein.

On Friday June18, 2010 the West Highland White Terrier Club of Northern Illinois held a supported entry at the Little Fort Kennel Club of Waukegan. Czarcrest's True Blue ("Trudy") earned Best of Breed over Specials from the Bred by Exhibitor class handled by owner Michele Czarnecki under judge Joycelyne Gagne.

On Saturday at the West Highland White Terrier Club of Northern Illinois Specialty Czarcrest's True Blue ("Trudy") went WInners Bitch. She also received an Award of Merit from the classes and was also chosen Best Bred by Exhibitor under judge Melinda Lyon.

Trudy is Sired by CH Czarcrest's Blue Moon TD, RE, NA, OAJ, NAP, OJP, ME, WHWTCA Registry of Merit and Master of Versatility 2 and out of Czarcrest's Hero's Hope OAJ, SE. Trudy is bred by Michele Czarnecki and Susan Chapman.

("Keeper") earned Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex on May 30, 2010 at the Illinois Valley Kennel Club Show in Blomington, Illinois under judge David Alexander. Keeper is owned and handled by Carol Walker and co-owned by Michele Czarnecki. Breeders are Caitlin Giordano and Michele Czarnecki. Proud parents are CH Czarcrest '06 Karley Davidson and U-CD CH Czarcrest's Cure for the Blues CD, RN. A special thanks goes out to Michele for coming to the shows that weekend to help us.

Czarcrest's Kickstart My Ride ("Kicks") got his first point and Best of Opposite Sex under judge Elliott Weiss at the Corn Belt Kennel Club Show in Bloomington, IL on May 28, 2010. Kicks is co-owned and bred by Caitlin Giordiano and Michele Czarnecki. He was handled by Theresa Hawryszkow and this was both her and Kicks' first time in the ring! Caitlin and Theresa want to say thanks to Michele for all her grooming support and mentoring. Kicks is the son of CH Czarcrest '06 Karley Davidson and CH Czarcrest Cure for the Blues CD, RN.

It's Official. On May 22, 2010, Caitlin and Gio became Mr and Mrs Michael Giordiano. The wedding took place in South Bend, Indiana. Michael and Christine Heroy were kind enough to offer the couple their vintage Rolls Royce Phantom 3 for their wedding activities. Other Czarcrest Westie owners invite along with the Heroys included Marcia and Gary Freeland, Michael and Theresa Hawyrszkow, and John and Michele Czarnecki. It was a beautiful wedding in every way.

Michele was asked to judge Sweepstakes on April 16, 2010 for the San Francisco Bay West Highland White Terrier Club of California.

Along with traveling companion Susan Chapman, Michele did some sightseeing with long time friends Brian and Judy Baird.

Carol Walker and Czarcrest's Can U Keep A Secret ("Keeper") made their first appearance in the conformation ring at the Kennel Club of Yorkville, Illinois Show on April 11. Keeper took home WInners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex from the 6 to 9 month Puppy Class. This was a 3-point major for Keeper under respected Judge Kenneth M McDermott. Keeper was bred by Caitlyn Hawryszkow and Michele Czarnecki and is owned by Carol Walker and Michele Czarnecki.

Carol and Keeper would like to thank Theresa Hawryszkow for giving them the courage to go ahead and show after Michele was unable to attend. They would also like to thank Michele for the lessons on grooming and handling which made it all possible.

On March 21, 2010 a wedding shower was held in honor of Caitlyn Hawryszkow and Michael Giordano. A number of Czarcrest Westie owners were in attendance to celebrate the occasion including Chris Heroy, Gary and Marsha Freeland, Michele Czarnecki, and the mother and father of the bride, Theresa and Mike Hawryszkow.

Czarcrest's True Blue ("Trudy") earns Best In Sweepstakes at the West Highland White Terrier Club of Northern Illinois Specialty on February 28, 2010 held in conjunction with the International Kennel Club Show in Chicago. Thank you to Breeder Judge, Mrs, Barbara Barrie for this special honor. Trudy is bred by Michele Czarnecki and Susan Chapman and is owned and handled by Michele Czarnecki.

CH Czarcrest's Double Latte ("Teyah") earned her Senior Earthdog Title on February 28 at the Northern California Dachshund Club Earthdog Test in Woodland, California under Judge Robert Kinney. Teyah passed her second leg of Senior Earthdog the previous day under Judge Phil Freilich. Congratulations to Teyah and owner Judy Baird!

CH Czarcrest's Midsummer's Knight ("Keegan") sires his first litter of little "Knights" with dam Czarcrest's Lair O'Lyon Buttons and Bows ("Bows").

Fourteen year old U-AGII, U-CDX CH Czarcrest's Charlotte of Halo CDX, RN, NA, NAJ ("Charlotte") poses with her Versatile Dog Award that she received at the Centennial Celebration in Lancaster, PA. Congratulations to Charlotte and owner trainer Carol Walker.

2009 saw a total of 17 performance titles on Czarcrest dogs or their offspring. We recognize the diligence and hard work of of the three ladies responsible for these accomplishments.

Susan Chapman acquired a whopping ten titles on her dogs as well as two of Blue's offspring owned by others.

As the New Year begins, it is only natural that one would reflect upon the past year with appreciation and gratitude for it's accomplishments.

2009 was a busy and good year for Czarcrest Westies. We had a record number of six Czarcrest dogs finish their Championships and an outstanding number of performance titles acquired.

All of this has been possible because I have been blessed with the support of my wonderful co-owners. Each of them is uniquely gifted and all of them willing to use their time, energy and resources to see that their dogs reach their potential. To each and every one of then I am grateful. I would like to personally thank, in alphabetical order..... Judy Baird, Bob and Deanna Bassett, Susan Chapman, Marcia and Gary Freeland, Caitlin Hawryszkow, Theresa Hawryszkow, Lisa Herff, Christine Heroy, Joanelle Klumb, Janet Parcel and Carol Walker.

As I look back on 2009, there were many special moments that I was privileged to share with these co-owners who have become an extended family to me. I am hopeful that 2010 will bring many new adventures and successes.
