December 2013

Friends of Czarcrest shared good times at the West Highland White Terrier Club of America National Specialty Dinner in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania back in October.  Pictured left to right are Marty Koole, Michele Czarnecki, Susan Chapman, MaryAnn Marchand and Judy Baird.

November 2013

On invitation, Michele took Lovee and Jazzy to "Active Day" adult care on November 18, 2013.  The staff invited Michele to bring the dogs, as they are all dog lovers themselves.  Lovee and Jazzy were so well behaved!  One of the drivers got them running around the big circle and chasing him.  They went as well as their little legs could go. This photo is with the staff.  We just can't say enough good things about them.

They did a few little tricks for the patients and everyone thought it was great.  The girls had a blast and the people really enjoyed it also,

October 2013

CH Czarcrest's Bonnie Wee Blue Angel BN VCD1 RE MX AXJ OF ME RATS ("Bean") earned her Senior Barn Hunt tile on October 27th with first placements for all three legs.  The Senior trial requires a dog to find 4 hidden tubes with live rats buried in bales of hay/straw in 3-1/2 minutes.  Bean was also awarded Master of Versatility by the White Highland Terrier Club of America in October, 2013 for her accomplishments in Conformation, Rally, Obedience, Tracking, Agility and Earthdog.

October 2013

Czarcrest Westies is pleased to announce it's 51st Champion, CH Czarcrest's All Revved Up ("Keeley").  Keeley finished at the Stone City Kennel Club on October 6.  Thank you to Theresa Hawryszkow and Caitlin Giordano for their efforts in making this happen.  Thanks also to Courtney Kniola and Leonardo Garcini for finding and winning her majors.  Keeley's  parents are CH Czarcrest's Midsummer's Knight and CH Czarcrest's '06 Karley Davidson CGC.  Keeley is owned by Theresa Hawryszkow and Michele Czarneccki.  Keeley is pictured with Theresa on the left and Czarcrest's Look of Love ("Lovee") with Caitlin on the right.

October 2013

Michele was asked by the West Highland White Terrier Club of America to  judge Futurity and Maturity at our National Specialty this year held in Montgomery County. Pennsylvania on October 5, 2013.  While it was an honor to be asked, Michele had a wonderful time getting to see so many old friends and putting hands on may exciting young Westies.  Pictured are Michele's winners.  Congratulations to their breeders and handlers.

September 2013

A Junebug litter reunion was held on September 15, 2013.  The puppies were 4 months old.  We did some grooming, practice stacking and gaiting.  The puppies played hard.  We got to visit around some light refreshments and finally got in a photo shoot.  Fun was had by all.

Junebug owneres are Karen and Chuck Valerio (Riley), Nancy and Tom Keon (Nolan) and Michele Czarnecki (Jasmine).

CH Czarcrests Double With A Twist CAA ("Tristan") earned his Coursing Ability Advanced (CAA) title on July 21 with 10 qualifying legs.  The ability test was held in Hollister, California by the Baseji Club of Northern California.  Judge was Ginnie Koscinski.  Tristan is owend by Judy Baird.

July 2013

CH Czarcrest's Double Helix RN NAP SE CAX ("Ben") completed his final 2 tests for the required 25 qualifying runs to earn the Coursing Ability Excellent title (CAX).  The test was held by the Monterey Bay Coursing Association at Brigantino Park in Hollister, California on July 20.  Ben received his rosette from judge Ginnie Koscinski. 

Ben is Czarcrest's first lure coursing dog.  Ben is owned by Judy Baird and Michele Czarnecki.

July 2013

CH Czarcrest's Bonnie Wee Blue Angel BN VCD1 RE AX AXJ OF SE ("Bean"), owned by Susan Chapman and Michele Czarnecki, won Most Versatile Westie in Specialty at the West Highland White Terrier Club of America Roving Specialty in May.  Bean finisher her Open FAST agility title, picked up a Master Agility Standard leg, an Agility Time to Beat (T2B) leg, Graduate Novice Obedience leg, Rally Excellent and Rally Advanced legs to win this honor.

BISS CH Czarcrest's Blue Moon VCD1 RAE OA OAJ AJP NF ME ROM PROM RATI RATO ("Blue") owned by Susan Chapman and Michele Czarnecki, became the first Westie to earn Barn Hunt titles - RATI (Instinct), RATN (Novice) and RATO (Open), with first places and awarded High in Trial on June 8th test 1.

Czarcrest's Hero's Hope RE AX AXJ OF ME EE RATN ("Hope"), owned by Susan Chapman and Michele Czarnecki, finished her Barn Hunt Novice title (RATN) on June 8, becoming the second Westie to win this title.

CH Czarcrest's Midsummer's Knight ("Keegan") congratulates his newest Champion son CH Bonnie Brier Cowboy Casanova ("Eugene").  Eugene finished at 21 months of age from the Bred-by-Exhibitor classes with back-to-back majors.  Judge Kathy Ferris gave Eugene Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a 4 point major at the Ladies Dog Club Show in Massachusetts on June 1.  Pictured above on June 2, Judge Randy Garren awarded Eugene Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a 3 point major to finish.  Eugene's Dam is Bonnie Brier Sparkle Plenty.  Congratulations to Christine Swingle on her new Bred-by-Exhibitor Champion!

Keegan congratulates his 5th Champion!

New Champion CH Clayridge Oscar Blue Reed ("Oscar") completed his Championship with 3 major wins during a Specialty weekend.  Oscar earned a 4 point major under Judge Larry Stanbridge on April 11, a 5 point major and Best of Breed over a Grand Champion entry under Judge Ann Katona on April 12, and a 5 point win on April 13 under Judge Betty Stenmark.  He was also given an Award of Merit at the WHWTCGA Specialty Show on April 14 under Judge Tom Barrie.  Oscar's is sired by CH Czarcrest's Midsummer's Knight and dam is CH Clayridge Babylon Sister.

Oscar has a wonderful show attitude and was never defeated in the classes!  Oscar is owned by Gail U. Reed.  Oscar is the first dog Gail ever owned!  Needless to say, he lives like royalty.

BISS CH Czarcrest's Blue Moon VCD1 RAE OA OAJ AJP NF ME ROM PROM RATI RATN **WHWYCA Master of Versatility 2** ("Blue") recently earned his RATI and RATN titles.  Blue is the first Westie to achieve the Barn Hunt Novice title.  Congratulations to Susan Chapman and Blue on this accomplishment.  Blue is bred by Michele Czarnecki and owned by Susan Chapman and Michele Czarnecki.

Czarcrest's All Revved Up earns Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex at the Steel City Kennel Club dog show April 14, 2013 under English judge Dr. David O. Harris.  Keeley is sired by CH Czarcrest's Midsummer's Knight and out of CH Czarcrest's '06 Karley Davidson.  Keeley is bred by Caitlin Giordiano, Theresa Hawryszkow and Michele Czarnecki.

CH Czarcrest's Double With A Twist CA ("Tristan") earned his CA title at the Montery Bay Coursing Ablilty Tests held in Hollister, California, on April 6/7, 2013 under judge Christie Beetz.  Congratulations to Judy Baird and Tristan on this new title.

CH Czarcrest's Midsummer's Knight ("Keegan") would like to congratulate his new Champion Daughter CH Clayridge Kid Charlemagne ("Charlie") on finishing her Championship at the Lakeland Winter-Haven Kennel Club in Feburary.  Charlie is bred and owned by Donald W Mallik and Gilda Mallik.

CH Czarcrest's Bonnie Wee Blue Angel BN VCD1 RE AX AXJ NF SE ("Bean"), owned by Susan Chapman and Michele Czarnecki, earned her Tracking Dog (TD) title at the Rand Park Dog Training Club on March 24th.  With this accomplishment, Bean also adds the title VCD1.  Versatiltiy Companion Dog is awarded to dogs with a tracking title, novice obedience and novice agility title.  This also qualifies Bean for the West Highland White Terrier Club of America Master of Versatility Award.

Got three generations of one of my bloodlines together for this recent photo.  Great, Great Grandmother CH Czarcrest's Double Delight ("Dee Dee") lives too far away, but Dee Dee is 15 years old and doing well.  Seen here are CH Czarcrest's Look at Me! ("Emee") - 11 years, GCH Czarcrest's Hey Look Me Over! ("Mia") - 5 years and Czarcrest's Look of Love ("Lovee") - 8 months.

Carol Walker sent this picture of CH Czarcrest's Cure For The Blues CD RN OAP NJP ("Curtis") and his peanut butter-banana birthday cake.  He was more concerned with getting his new toy, which was broken in under two minutes.  Thank goodness Carol has a stockpile of toys in the closet!

CH Czarcrest's Knight Ryder ("Ryder") intently watches the Terriers at the Westminster Kennel Club Show.  Ryder is owned by Janine and Jim Giobbia and Michele Czarnecki.

CH Czarcrest's Double Helix RN SE (VD award) CAA ("Ben") earned his Coursing Ability Advanced (CAA) title on Jan 19/20th at the Monterey Bay Coursing Association - Coursing Ability Tests in Hollister, California, under judge Ginnie Koscinski.  Ben ran 12 of 12 tests, passing beyond the 10 tests needed for the CAA title. Ben is owned by Judy & Brian Baird and Michele Czarnecki.  Congratulations to Judy and Ben on their achievement.

January 2013

Czarcrest Westies proudly announces the reaching of a landmark, our 50th Champion!  Czarcrest's Double With A Twist ("Tristan") finished his Championship on 11/25/12 to become the 50th Champion bred by Czarcrest Westies.  Tristan is sired by CH Czarcrest's Midsummer's Knight and out of CH Czarcrest's Double Dare Ya!
